Dyeing with natural products is getting very exciting with new extract dyes becoming available all the time. I am thrilled to be able to supply not just Earthues Dyes the original starting point with extracts, but also the Living Colour range and some of the Couleurs de Plantes range. We are working with several European businesses who are producing the extracts as ethically as they can using the most environmentally friendly methods available. Many of the plants used are grown in Europe and extracted using water and alcohol, those coming from further afield are from sustainable and managed sources. The extractions are also seeking to increase the yield of colour by individual dye chemical - in some cases allowing us to isolate a particular colour - more on this as the dyes are tested!
